Administration of the Survey

The research was co-ordinated by the Jersey Child Care Trust and was run in conjunction with the Department for Education, Sport and Culture, Highlands College and the Jersey Business School with the intention of determining the training and development needs for those working in childcare.

The questionnaire was circulated in March 2008 by post to all those working in childcare in private day nurseries and pre-schools, nursery classes, family day carers, school-age care, and nannies.  610 copies were distributed and 229 completed forms were returned.
