A qualified nanny can provide a professional and flexible level of care and education to children in the family home, however, with no registration of nannies under the Day Care (Jersey) Law, Jersey is in need of a scheme that provides a level of quality in childcare for children.

The aim of this scheme is to accredit qualified and professional nannies to ensure parents employ a carer who has passed a strict and objective set criteria and is, therefore, better equipped to provide their children with a good standard of care and education.
