A Successful Champagne Cream Tea for JCCT

Our first ever Champagne Cream Tea for JCCT took place in the beautiful surroundings of Longueville Manor on Thursday 23rd March with 55 guests.  The event opened with a speech and welcome from Marnie Baudains, our Chair and Fiona Vacher, our Executive Director who introduced the work of the charity and the  difference that it makes to children’s lives.  We were then treated to a scone making demo with top tips from Executive Chef, Andrew Baird and just before tea was served, guests watched the premiere of ‘This is Teddy’ showing our work in action.

The event was designed to also launch a far bigger fundraising event taking place throughout May called ‘Cream Tea for JCCT’.   Whilst enjoying champagne, scones, jam, cream and tea, guests  pledged to host their own ‘Cream Tea for JCCTs in May in their homes and businesses.  Small, exclusive cream teas with a few friends were talked about by some guests and ‘BIG’ cream tea events were talked about by others, both in their homes and workplaces!

The Champagne Cream Tea for JCCT raised over £2,300 for our charity and this was only possible due to the very generous support of Longueville Manor, Victor Hugo Wines and our raffle prize sponsors.

Dasa Wharton Photography captured the event beautifully in this Photo Gallery.
