Jersey Literary Festival Supports JCCT

Jersey Festival of Words 2017 is a five day literary festival, featuring visiting and local writers, poets and performers, a schools and nursery programme, writing workshops, competitions and more.  This year’s festival, the third one, takes place between Sept 27th and Oct 1st.

Author Penny Joelson who wrote ‘I have no Secrets’ http://www.jerseyfestivalofwords.org/author/?id=1807 will be speaking at Jersey College for Girls on Thursday 18th Sept 12.00 – 13.30.  We are delighted to announce that the Literary Festival has agreed to give a donation to the Jersey Child Care Trust from the proceeds of this event.

In addition, ‘Heather’s House of Stories’ (https://www.facebook.com/Heathershouseofstories/) will be visiting the Bridge on the 27th September as part of the Festival of Words and a number of local nurseries will be bringing children along.

The Jersey Festival of Words 2017 is also supporting the work of the ‘Making it REAL’ project (which develops children’s early literacy) through a supermarket ‘logo hunt’.
