Seán O’Regan

Nominated Trustee for Education

Seán has been with us since 2013 and brings a distinguished career in education to his role.  He is currently the Deputy Chief Education Officer.

Having been to school here in Jersey, Seán did his first degree at Oxford University, following it up with a Masters in teaching at London University.  He became the youngest head teacher in London when he joined Edith Neville School, which he transformed from a poor performance school to an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted rating.  He was voted ‘Primary Head Teacher of the Year’ in 2000, at the National Teaching Awards.  As Head of Primary School Improvement for the London Borough of Camden, he oversaw the performance of 45 nurseries, infant, primary and special schools serving a diverse intake of children, and Camden was rated first in the Local Authority performance league table under his headship.

Seán loves being involved with the Trust because he passionately believes in quality childcare and education for all.
